Well it's been a while since the last post. Brooke has been to 2 meetings regarding the development of new trails here in Prescott. The new name is Prescott Mountain Bike Allaince. I like it, it's got a little of that STAR WARS feel to it.
We painted our master bedroom finally. Next up is our office and spare bedroom. We just have to pick out some good colors to throw on the wall.
We did a group ride on the BCT trail with about 32 other riders. It was a new section for us and was entertaining to say the least. You had to be there to understand.
We went for hike with the dogs just East of Chino out by our rock climbing area called "The Promised Land" and stumbled upon a family of coyotes that were shot, killed and skinned, and then left to rot. Two adults and 3 babies. Sad really. I don't know if I want to post the pitures of it on here. We contacted the Arizona Game and Fish department to report poaching of animals, but no response. I guess it only matters if it's a 12 point buck or "big game."
The weather here has been very wet and cold. Luckily the snow melts, but the runoff leaves the trails to be less than desireable. Muddy and lots of downed trees due to the wind. On Trail #305, there are 50 or more trees down. Lots have been removed, but haven't checked it out yet.
I had some family come into town from Wisconsin. My Aunt Sandy and cousin Pam. They came out for 4 days to "get away" and see some sites around Northern Arizona. They wanted to see Sedona and Jerome. We had some Sushi at Esoji (Es-oh-gee) in downtown P-town. Todd also mad the trip up from Chandler. Here we are on the switchbacks just above Jerome.
And of course.......the two crazy sisters making a spectical in Jerome. On Saturday night we all headed back down to Chandler for an early flight out on Sunday. We went for some cocktails at Fibber Mcgee's and a Vietnamese dinner at Cyclo ( Sic-low). Great food. Although some of the dishes made using the chopsticks very entertaining. You try grabbing a piece of monkey brain with 2 sticks...it's not easy. Kidding, it was baby Panda.
We camped out at Todd's Marriot Courtyard Hotel. It sounded like Santas Workshop in the house. You would of thought we were building a large shed with all that snoring going on. A sure sign that everyone was tired from sight seeing and shopping.
Before we knew it was 7:15am and people were scurrying. Time to get up and go to the airport. The flight out at 10:10am and preflight check in only left time for coffee, hot chocolate and a muffin. We dropped them curbside and said goodbye's. It was fun having them come out here. Hopefully a longer stay will be in order next time. All in all,
a good time.
